J&K Grameen Bank celebrates World Environment Day
J&K Grameen Bank celebrated the World Environment Day at its Head Office Jammu. In its endeavor to restore ecosystem in the environment, saplings were planted in the Bank’s compound by Chairman Mr.Sudhir Gupta, General Manager Mr.Ajay kohli, Chief AI&V Mr.Vinay Gupta. Chairman Mr.Sudhir Gupta said that we all should strive to protect our environment and adopt simple things to make earth a much better place to live. These things include : Reduce, Reuse and Recycle; Conserve Water ; Proper cleanups in every community; planting of trees.
World Environment Day is considered to be one of the most remarkable ones for environmental action and to create awareness among people. The purpose of World Environment Day is to spread awareness about the threat to the environment due to rising pollution levels and climate change. Nature should not be taken for granted and must be respected for its values.
