J&K Grameen Bank conducted Awareness Drive in District Rajouri wef 03 March to 05 March

J&K Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of Sudhir Gupta conducted an awareness drive in District Rajouri under which Digital and Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes were organized at unbanked areas of Siot, Dharamsal, Sialsui, Tatapani and Dhangri w.e.f 03.03.2022 to 05.03.2022 through Financial Inclusion Fund supported by NABARD. The programmes were conducted on the theme of Public participation in promoting cashless economy and Social Security Schemes.
Mohd Nisar Malik, Regional Manager Rajouri/Poonch, J&K Grameen Bank, spoke at length about various developments in banking sector and latest loan schemes of the bank with special emphasis on Agriculture Sector lending and Govt Sponsored schemes. The participants were also informed regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, safeguards to be kept in mind in order prevent cases of frauds while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards and JKGB Mobile Banking application. People were also educated about the benefits of Aadhar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for availing DBT benefits.
Viney Mehra, HOD Financial Inclusion Department, J&K Grameen Bank, informed the masses about the benefits of Social Security Schemes launched by GOI i.e. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti and Atal Pension Yojna.
He also appealed the public to make the national programme of social security schemes a big success by creating a chain of information. Micro ATM facilities were also facilitated in these areas through Micro ATM Cash Van wherein transactions were performed for needy masses through Rupay Debit Cards and Aadhaar based transactions.
Also, on-spot enrolments under PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY were done besides handing over sanction letters to the beneficiaries under Joint Liability Groups, Kisaan Credit Cards, Easy Finance to traders, etc.
